Strategy Concepts Co LLC, d/b/a Waypoint Career Resources ("Waypoint," "we," "us"), publishes this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit careerwaypoint.org or interact with our forms, including the free career plan request, the Waypoint Plus interest form, and the Waypoint Job Alerts signup. By using our site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any message you send us through a form. If you request a free career plan, express interest in Waypoint Plus, or sign up for Waypoint Job Alerts, we collect the contact details needed to reach you — typically your name, email, and phone number. We also automatically collect limited technical information when you browse the site, such as your browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP address, and pages visited, through standard web server logs and analytics tools.
2. How We Use It
We use the information you provide to respond to your requests — for example, to have a Waypoint advisor follow up about your free career plan, to follow up about Waypoint Plus, or to send job alert texts you've signed up for. We also use technical and analytics data to understand how visitors use the site, fix problems, and improve our content and navigation. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Your Choices & Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing support@careerwaypoint.org. If you're a resident of California or another state with similar consumer privacy laws, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we've collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — see our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page to submit that request. You can unsubscribe from job alert texts at any time by replying STOP, and from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email.
6. Data Retention
We retain the information you submit through our forms for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide the service you signed up for (such as Waypoint Job Alerts), and maintain accurate business records, after which it is deleted or de-identified. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so unless we're required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.
7. Children's Privacy
Waypoint's site and services are intended for adults who are eligible to work, and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@careerwaypoint.org and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
